TMS recently attended this years RTC Europe
conference held in Budapest, it was a resounding success, this is a little
ironic that some refer to Budapest as the birthplace of BIM. In 1987
Graphisofts "Virtual Building" concept, ArchiCAD became regarded by
some as the first implementation of BIM. (Wikipedias entry here.)
BIM: a mindset, not a software package
Budapest is the capital and the largest city of
Hungary and one of the largest cities in the European Union. Budapest
became a single city occupying both banks of the river Danube with the
unification of Buda with Pest.
With “Collaboration”
being a key part of implementing BIM the unification of software platforms and
interfaces is a common task. No matter how big the divide we
seek out new ways to bridge the gap to the concept of ‘one single model’.
Top things we take away from RTC :
- Overview of new features
- Best Practice methods
- Tips and tricks from the world's top experts
- CPD formal and informal points
- Learning from some of the world's top instructors and industry experts
- Share ideas and insights with an international community of your peers.
- Explore the latest trends and technologies
- Network with your peers
