Autodesk® InfraWorks & Infraworks 360

Autodesk® InfraWorks & Infraworks 360 (formerly Infrastructure Modeler) software provides breakthrough 3D modeling and visualization technology for desktop, web, and mobile that supports Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.

Civil engineers and planners can help deliver projects, small and large, by more efficiently managing larger-scale infrastructure models created from existing data sources, engineering in context from the start, and generating proposals at the appropriate level of detail. Additionally, users can communicate to a broader audience, including public and project stakeholders, in new ways with anytime, anywhere access to project scenarios. Infrastructure professionals can also improve team collaboration by sharing models centrally and more securely in the cloud.

There are 2 ways to start an Infraworks model. The first is by using existing and available GI data, such as round terrain and aerial photo and topography. The second method is by using Model Builder.

Using Autodesk Model Builder. (functionality is currently only available in Infraworks 360 please refer to latest offering information)

The model builder uses
Vector Data: OpenStreetMap
Vector data with buildings, roads, railways and water features worldwide
Raster Data: BingMap
Terrain Data: SRTM
(Shuttle Radar Topography Mission)
Global data; 90 meter resolution
USGS: National Elevation Data
For US only; 10 meter resolution

Data Aggregation – Additional Formats:
Bentley DGN
Civil 3D
3D DWG
IFC
SketchUp
Improved CityGML
2D DWG import withdrawn
Rvt file imports in right units!

Autodesk® InfraWorks 360 is a benefit to IDS-P and IDS-U Subscription customers and enhances Autodesk® InfraWorks workflows by enabling users to publish, store, and manage large models centrally and more securely in the cloud. Users can collaborate with multiple stakeholders by inviting team members to access, download, and edit shared models simultaneously and review multiple project proposals using the same data.

Provide field access to infrastructure models and project scenarios to a diverse group of stakeholders. Project team members can view design alternatives in the field to enhance decision making. Public stakeholders can stay more informed and engaged, and provide real-time comments to project teams by accessing project proposals anytime and anywhere. Field access is provided using Autodesk InfraWorks 360 via Internet and mobile devices using the design feed functionality.
